China x Reader - Actions Speak Louder Than Words

You knocked on your friend's house hoping he would answer. You were in tears because people were making fun of your selective mutism. Yao opened the door and immediately led you inside.

"What happened aru?" He asked as you took one of his hands.

"THEY ARE AT IT AGAIN" You spelt out on his hand.

"Who is it this time aru?" He asked, wanting to tell the bullies off.

"LOVINO GILBERT FRANCIS AND ANTONIO" You spelt out as you let a few more tears slip out. He let out a low growl.

"They always think that it's a joking matter don't they aru?" He asked you as he hugged you. You nodded your head and took in his scent of exotic spices. Little did you know that he was taking in your scent of your (fave scent) shampoo at the same time. You grabbed one of his hands before spelling out something.

"THANK YOU YAO I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP" You spelt out as you smiled into his shoulder.

"You're welcome aru." He replied as he released you from the hug. You looked at him with the need for the hug.

"You thirsty? I can make us some tea if you want me to." He asked as he stood up.

"THAT WOULD BE NICE THANK YOU" You traced the letters onto his hand before he went to grab the two of you some tea. He came back with two steaming mugs of tea on a tray.

"THANK YOU" You wrote before taking a cup for yourself. The two of you drank the tea in silence before he took a deep breath.

"(y/n), I love you." He whispered as he set your tea down and caressed your cheek.

"I LOVE YOU TOO" You replied with a smile. He gently pulled you closer, taking care to not spill your tea. He wrapped his arms around your body. You let out a sigh as you tried to gain the courage to speak.

"T-thank you Yao" You stuttered as you spoke for the first time in 3 years.

"Y-you spoke?!?!?!?" Yao exclaimed as he kissed you again. You returned it as he ran his hands through your hair. For once your words spoke louder than your actions.
